Internal Complaint Committee Vadu Rural Health Program has a team of more than 150 individuals and more than 30% are women employees. We believe that a work environment should be safe and healthy. A Healthy Work Environment is one that is safe, empowering, and satisfying. A culture of safety is paramount, in which all staff members have a responsibility to perform with a sense of professionalism, accountability, transparency, involvement, efficiency, and effectiveness. With reference to the “The sexual harassment of women at workplace (prevention, prohibition and redressal) Act, 2013” we have formed an Internal Complaint Committee to provide a platform for our women employees to discuss discomfort, they feel at workplace, if any. This committee is constituted according to the act and have more than 50% women members. The chairperson of the committee is also a woman and belongs to another organization. Major responsibilities of the committee: To sensitize staff members about gender equality To set procedures and protocols for proceedings i.e documentation and reporting of any complaint. To discuss within seven days of receiving the complaint. To provide safe and confidential environment to the aggrieved person. To meet quarterly once regardless of whether or not there is a complaint.
