The Shirdi Sai Baba Rural Hospital, situated in Vadu Budruk village of Pune District, stands testimony to Dr. Banoo Coyaji’s dream and vision ‘To provide multi-disciplinary high quality yet sustainable preventive and curative medical care to rural under-privileged‘. Founded in 1981 under a tri-partite agree between for financial support from the Government of India, State Government of Maharashtra and the KEM Hospital Pune (partial support from Shamdasani Foundation, UK); this 30-bed rural hospital provides secondary level care to the 22 villages under the Vadu Rural Health Program and beyond. Today, the hospital has various specialists including Ophthalmologist, General Physician, Dentist, Ear-Nose-Throat Specialist, Gynecologist, General Surgeon and Pediatricians to provide quality medical care. Round the clock Obstetrics and Gynecology services are provided at our hospital. The patient care starts with regular check up of pregnant woman up to normal and/or caesarian deliveries. It also includes facilities like infertility services, basic and advanced laparoscopy, colposcopy, urogynac and oncogynac services. Our pediatric unit provides routine pediatric OPD and IPD facilities. We give level II care for newborn and neonates. Routine and/or specific immunization programs are carried out regularly. Preventive and curative dental care is another activity of the hospital that also provides Flap surgeries, Orthodontic tooth corrections, Advanced implants Procedures, Complete and partial dentures, Endodontic facilities are provided with the help of Dental X-rays and oral camera.
